Lukas Nelson and the Promise of the Real

I had the pleasure of shooting some photos of my long time friend Lukas Nelson jamming with his band The Promise of the Real in Hollywood.

I have known Lukas since elementary school, and watching his talents grow over the years has been incredible. I remember back in third grade walking around the soccer field talking about girls, and a few years later watching him jamming at our high school assemblies.

Now he is nothing short of a straight up rockstar. Great guy, incredible music. A true legend in the making!

I am back home in Maui for a couple days and the surf has been pumping... This winter really is incredible, every time I think there will be a break in the swell another red blob shows up on the models.

Maui never disappoints - warm water, cruzing with the boyz, relaxing at Makena- so happy to be home...

Weekend Surf

This waves have been firing all winter in California, and this past weekend was no different. Sure there has been the occasional morning with onshore wind, rain, or chop, but overall the crappy days have been the exceptions this year! Gotta love clear skies, crisp morning air, and light off shores.
